What is patronage? Patronage is the support, encouragement, privilege, or financial aid that an organization or individual bestows to another.
In the past under the patronage system monarchs, popes and wealthy merchants would commission artists and composers to promote their political ambitions, social positions, and prestige -- works that only glorified man. Too often, Christian creatives go unsupported in their projects that glorify God's kingdom.
At CRIS, we want to change that!
Documentary - Film-making
Christian Film-makers want to create powerful pieces that inspire and move people towards Christ. Unfortunately, for financial reasons it is hard. As a film-makers it's difficult to get a project going without funding -- the cost of travel, accommodation and food alone takes a big bite out of the budget, not withstanding compensation for work done.

Photojournalism
Photojournalism is story-telling at its best. Photojournalism visually captures the story in a way that allows the viewer to use his or her imagination as a book would, but allows for the audience to see the setting, emotion and character set the scene as in a film or documentary. This powerful combination makes for moving work that stirs emotion and moves people to action.
Photojournalism brings the photographer out into their local, regional, national or world community to tell the story of other people. Let's support our Christian-Photojournalist as the tell stories of love, sorrow and the preparation people are doing for coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
